Who Is Shaykh Khaalid bin Othmaan Abu Abdelaala al-Misree?
Shaykh Khalid Othmaan Abu Abdelaala al-Misree [b.1392H]
For those who do not know the Shaykh, he is Shaykh Abu Abdil al ‘Ala Khalid Ibn ‘Uthman al Misry حفظه الله.
He is of Egyptian nationality and was born in 24th July 1972 | 1392 AH.
The Shaykh is well known to the scholars and has numerous tazkiyaat or references and ijaazaat from them.
The Muhaddith Shaykh Rabee’ Ibn Hadi al Madkhali حفظه الله said about him: ‘I do not know about Khalid Uthman Abi Abdil al ‘Ala except that he is from the serious students of knowledge upon the methodology of the Salaf as Saalih and I do not know anything but good from him.’ And then Shaykh Rabee’ proceeded to make du’a for Shaykh Khalid.
Also, the Shaykh was asked after a lesson in the book ash-Shariah from al Aajori about whom to take knowledge from in Egypt to which Shaykh Rabee’ mentioned four and amongst them was Shaykh Khalid about whom the questioner commented that there were some who warned from him to which Shaykh Rabee’ responded: ‘I fear that these individuals are from the Hadaadiyah.’
Shaykh Rabee’ حفظه الله also mentioned about him: ‘The brother Khalid Ibn Muhammad Ibn Uthman is salafi and his books are good and his minhaj is sound and I am pleased with his writings. I am of the view that he proceed with teaching in one of the masjids there with you in Egypt with the hope that he benefit the youth there in Egypt.’
The Shaykh also mentioned in defense of Shaykh Khalid: ‘Khalid! I bear witness that he wrote a book in two nights! I have not witnessed faster than him in writing or a stronger mind than this man…. This man - Khalid - wrote a book four or five years ago as a refutation to the book entitled ‘Help your Brother if he was oppressed or an oppressor’. He compiled in two or three nights, I swear by Allah that I could not prepare it in a month! Ability, ability, ability!
Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahhab al Banna رضي الله عنه: said about Shaykh Khalid in his introduction to the latter’s book Explosions and Terrorist Activities and Protests Are from the actions of the Khawarij and transgressors: ‘I advise the youth of Egypt to stick to the Salafi ‘Ulama that are there with them. And from them is Shaykh Abu Abdil ‘Ala Khalid Muhammad Uthman the writer of valuable books and beneficial tahqeeqaat (authentications)….’ He also said: ‘Shaykh Khalid is well known to us for the strength of his knowledge based proofs and his uprightness upon the Salafi Methodology and I asked Allah to increase him in success and benefit the Muslims with his writings.’
Shaykh Zayd ibn Hadi al Madkhali حفظه الله said about him: ‘That he is one of the scholars of Ahl Sunnah known for his Da’wah in his country and elsewhere.’
Shaykh Khalid also read to Shaykh Zayd Abraz al Fawaa’id fi Sharh al Arba’a al Qawaa’id written by Shaykh Zayd and also the Chapter of az Zuhd from Shaykh Zayd’s book Afnaan an Nadiyah ‘ala Mandhooma as Subl as Sawiyah.
Shaykh ‘Ubaid Ibn Abdillah al Jaabiri حفظه الله mentioned in the introduction to the book al Hudood al Faasila Bayna Usool Minhaj as Salaf as Saalih wa Usool al Qutubiyah as Surooriyah: ‘I looked at what our brother Abu Abdil ‘Ala Khalid Ibn Muhammad Ibn ‘Uthman wrote in his treatise entitled: ‘al Masaa’il alati Khaalafa feeha Abu Ishaaq al Huwayni li Ahli Sunnah and I found it to be a good book.’ Then the Sheikh finished by stating: ‘May Allah reward our brother Aba Abdil ‘Ala for what he exposed from the mistakes of Abi Ishaq.’
Shaykh Khalid also read several books and treatises to Sheikh ‘Ubaid.
Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Rabee’ Ibn Hadi al Madkhali حفظه الله was asked about Shaykh Khalid and from what he said about him was: ‘I asked al ‘Allaamah Muhammad Ibn Hadi al Madkhali and he praised him and bore witness to the uprightness of his minhaj and I bear witness to his Salafiyyah and his fruitful efforts and his service to the Salafi Methodology.’
Also the shaykh has numerous other tazkiyaats and Ijaazahs from the likes of the previous mentioned scholars and others like Shaykh Abdur Rahman Muhyideen, Shaykh Hasan Ibn Abdil Wahhab al Banna, Shaykh Muhammad al Wasaabi, and Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahhab al Aqeel amongst others.

In conclusion, we ask Allaah تعالى to bless the Shaykh and his knowledge, to preserve him from all evil and to continue to allow him to benefit and spread beneficial knowledge in accordance with the Book and the Sunnah upon the Methodology of the Salaf As Saalih.
